Teaching writing

Hello everyone welcome back to my blog!!

For today's entry I'm going to cover of teaching grammar of the last classes.

In the first class where we covered the writing, firstly we started doing some cursive excercises on our notebook to which I struggled a lot, we did something similar to the Palmer handwrtiting method.

From a really young age my handwriting has not been the best, lets not say my cursive handwriting, that probably has been worse and has just gotten as worse. As in today's classes we barely write stuff I do not get to practice my handwritting at all, and when I do write something I never do it in cursive, I always try to avoid writing in cursive.

After practicing a bit with this method, we proceeded to get into groups in which we discussed why it was important to practice our handwriting and why is it important for students to learn how to write. Later on, we saw the basics of the writing process, furthermore we had to write a small composition of the "best day of our lives", first we had to make an small brainstorm of how our composition will be, next we followed it by making a draft and finally we did our final composition, to which I was not able to finish as barely any days came to my head when I considered the "best of the bunch".

For the final task of the class we had to write a small story with our group about whatever we imagined, but each member had to participate by writing and continuing what the previous member wrote. There had to be cohesion in the story, but we had that covered and to be fair out of the whole class I still believe we had the best and most original story.

It was a masterpiece!!!

Before we left the classroom that day Teacher Orlando did gave us our final task (the final one this time), which consisted of making a bread and butter note about one time we had to thank a friend or a relative.

For thursday's class I actually came a bit late, but we continued the same topic, but this time around it was focused on vocabulary and grammar specifically.

When I got to the classroom I joined the group and we began to discuss the questions that appear above, most of us had really diversive answers but we all got to a conclusion in the end.

Afterwards we saw the methods to teach grammar:

And I believe that would be all for this entry, I hope you enjoyed it and see you on the next one!!
