Teaching Speaking

Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog!!

For this entry we are going to cover something quite similar, which is speaking.

When it comes to speaking there are 3 dimensions:

1.     Transactional or Interpersonal

2.     Interactive or Non-interactive

3.     Planned or Unplanned

In a classroom we always have to take into account the environment that surrounds the student, as this will probably the primary factor that will affect the development of his speaking.

Here are some conversational strategies that could help students develop their speaking.

As I was not able to attend this class, I was not able to get pictures, but my classmate Josh told me about the different excercises they had with Tonge Twistlers and also with a new technique called Jazz Chants, I have never heard about, but it consists in mostly about following a certain rhythm, the rhythm of Jazz, and explaining that the English language follows these 4-period rhythms where you practice your pronunciation and intonation too.

This was not the most extensive blog, but the upcoming ones about the exposition are getting better as there would be more material to cover, hope to see you in those ones, take care!!
